smiling that they-long-to-be-
close-to-you lifestyle
while i'm cold and complaining
to voiceless faces in Windowboxes

there's got to be more to this
more to me
should i just get high
and dream again, lonelygirl
exquisite and gorgeous
singing along with destiny's child

but no one's here to listen
too quiet to bother the neighbors

do they hear the words, sighs and name
that i breathe into the 2am darkness?
