silent prayers to the sky

hands reaching for the invisible

untouchable

blue-wrapped pillows

and i'm crying again

begging to end

the urge to bring this to the surface

certainly,

speaking my mind

would force me to be surrounded

by bright white

i'm not justified

i'm merely lucky to have come this far
