this bedroom is a deathtrap, i swear

the windows are open, so i can freeze to death,
breeding coughs in my throat

i remember when this room used to sweat
and i'd choke on stale oxygen

i wish i had never given you the rights to that syllable,
because it's now a reminder of the lies i lost.

you are unaffected, and i hate you for that,
because i continue to freeze.
