for the victim of a motorcycle crash in NY state on sunday

breaking simple life into
that last dying moment
the obstacle to the end of
peace trails

we were all together
seperate lives but with one
intent

the sun hit grim faces
losing one of their own
bretheren, even if a stranger by face

witness to the grey skin
wrapped in patched leather blankets

tears like gravel
soaking and marring my skin
forever touched and impacted by
a life i never knew
a life, lost too soon.
