i see brief words; i fall apart
mirage of glory, the story continues

the firecracker's crash and burn
escaping barely unscathed
kissing under the drunken moon

i saw it all in my mind
we said goodbye

the blacks and blues to remember
a million lies to forget

drowsy eyes and expletives to reject me
jittering to roll backwards
i'm regretting the lack to backtrack

the lonely holiday begins...
