it's all fake, or so you think

everyone's last-worded breath
intensifies when lone confusion
breaks into the heart
the core is empty, vomited
through the strain of disdain

death that no one notices
solemn if i fail to speak or
wake
unnoticed is an understatement

we do not breathe the same air
so do not try to understand what i know is truth
i am the neglected flowers' last gasp for sun and water
drying and dying
alone

it's all worthless now
see as blatant attempts
attention and drama
but it's not well-received
so why bother, why bother?

just a hopeless gesture
to be saved in someone's grace
