i know i�m romanticizing this much more than i should.

i know that i�m placing my girlhood dreams on a man i barely know

but something has to keep me going after yet another broken hearted waste of time.

and if i can pretend that your arms holding me actually means something important,

then let me wallow just a little longer in the fantasy.

because your golden eyes warm my heart and smile on me

and our moonlit trysts are filled with passion i have never seen

take my tongue into your mouth and caress me with your soft hands

i�ll deal with the rest in the morning

the train rolls downtown and we�re seated side by side

morning small talk and your hand reassuringly on my knee

you walk me to my office, and you wait as i buy coffee.

a kiss, and the elevator takes me to Floor 4.
