"apology"

a heart, fragile as old faded roses,

breaks at the sound of his name.

ages will pass before this ache subsides.

knowing that logic and romance are two different subjects,

she speaks differently of each one.

never the two shall meet.

scarred by the repetition of history's mistakes,

this is doomed to fail

before it can begin.

she waits for a word or a sign,

knowing fully well,

that the first step must be hers.
